We need to finalize the modules for the Speedball flights soon!
Some ideas for modules:
i2c data logger - passive logging of all i2c traffic during a flight for debug purposes
Environmental sensor board - temp, barometer, ambient light sensors, 3-axis accelerometer (to detect tumbling after loss of balloon for example), digital compass
In a way, each module is responsible for monitoring the environmental data relevant to its operations. Pursuant to extra sensor outfitting, A board for additional I2C/Analog Sensors has already been developed. Link Pending. —

HF TX (or XCVR for 2 way communications on-the-cheap, using CW?)
Power Module/Battery Ballast
Ballast Module
Balloon separation and watchdog board - independent power supply… lack of communications from MCP (using GPIO?), verifies power levels and attempts a power cycle of entire balloon via power module, attempts direct communication to ground via communication modules to send a mayday/status update, last resort is to separate payload from balloon (maybe on command from ground if communications are still up, if not, then wait x hours and cut payload free). Perhaps also have an option to allow main computer to check on watchdog, and if watchdog stops responding, have the ability to kill the watchdog module to prevent an inadvertent mission abort
